What is AEO, and how is it different from SEO?
SEO earns you a link in a list of results. AEO — answer engine optimization — earns you a sentence inside the answer itself.
When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews for a recommendation, the model writes a short answer and names a handful of sources. AEO is the work of becoming one of those sources: clear entity signals so machines know what you are, extractable answer blocks they can lift cleanly, validated structured data, and machine-readable files like llms.txt. The crawl and clean-HTML fundamentals overlap with SEO. The goal does not.
What does Vanta Labs actually build?
Six things, under one bill: websites, custom software, AI agents, automation, search visibility, and design.
In practice that ranges from a five-page marketing site to a 1,300-page programmatic build, to a dispatch platform with loads, carriers and invoicing. Everything is engineered in-house on Astro, Next.js or React — no page builders, no templates, no reselling someone else's work.
How long does a build take?
Two weeks to two months for most projects, depending on scope.
You get a staging URL by day three and can watch it come together daily — you are never waiting on a Friday status email.
Do you work with clients worldwide?
Yes. Live work currently spans multiple countries and time zones.
That includes a rigging company covering all 50 US states, PR firms placing in 37+ countries, and a bilingual Arabic/English site in Riyadh with full right-to-left support. Timezone has not been a problem yet.
Who owns the site and the accounts when we are done?
You do — all of it, from day one.
Every repository, domain, hosting account and analytics property is in your name. If you decide to take the work to another developer, you hand them the keys and nothing breaks. There is no lock-in and nothing is hosted on an account you cannot reach.
